In the extensive chapter "Questions of pet ownership", five main subjects are being dealt with for pet owners:
1. Animal diseases. The vet of the Zurich Animal Protection Society describes main diseases, their causes, symptoms and treatment possibilities for 23 animals. For very special cases it is possible to send an e-mail to the Zurich Animal Protection Society and their vets and ask individual questions.
2. Animal behaviour. If your pet is not ill but you nevertheless have problems with his behaviour over and over again, then this chapter is right for you. Well-known ethologists give information and advice for 23 animals and the most frequent cases of behaviour problems.
3. Animal poisoning. Thanks to a generous donation of a lady patron, the Zurich Animal Protection Society was able to create the probably most extensive database with the topic "animal poisoning". There are three ways to enter the poison database: Cause of poisoning. Suspected or identified. Poisoning effect, observed symptoms. How dangerous is the absorbed poison (degree of poisoning).
4. Animal rights and law. In the internet chapter "Animal rights and law", the Zurich Animal Protection Society have prepared an extensive collection of practical law cases from the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. You certainly will find there your own case. If not, you have the possibility to contact our legal expert and to ask him questions.
5. Information on which animal species? Since the pet-owner is interested by nature in his own animal, a direct access is offered here for all information relating to dogs, cats, guinea pigs, horses etc. A click and you reach immediately your animal species and the information going with it.
