This is only a small part of our activities. We have the competence, you give the money. Together we are an efficient team. Together we help wherever we can:
- the homeless dog - the mouse and the cat in the experiment laboratory - the golden hamster tired of his wheel - the cow, the pig, the chicken and company in the stable - the fox, the hair and the hedgehog right on our doorstep - the rhinoceros, the tapir and all the other wild animals on far away continents

"Nature is near": Within the framework of various activities, "Nature on the doorstep" shall be brought close to
the population and especially to visitors of the zoo and also invite people to act themselves
in their residential area and in their field of activity respectively. To guarantee a
successful outcome, special attention is paid to good illustrative material and visual
examples, instructions on how to act, as well as to playing elements.
"Pets and Seniors": The Institute for Interdisciplinary Research in Man-Animal Relationship (IEMT) have thoroughly studied this question and compiled a manual for old people's homes some years ago. In the meantime, this manual is out of print. That is why we have - as agreed with the IEMT - compiled the most important results of the research work of the IEMT in explanatory leaflets and on our homepage.
"Hare Project": A great many life zones for native animals and plants in the center of Switzerland have gotten lost due to encroachment upon adjoining land and cutting up by traffic routes or restricted in their quality because of intensified agriculture. Vast nature expanses and structures have been forced back to minimal residual areas in the center of Switzerland. The hare is still very widespread in Switzerland, the survivals, however, have reached very critical lowest levels. The hare, today, even is on the Red List. With the hare project Switzerland, the survivals of hares are extensively being kept under surveillance on the one hand and on the other hand the life zones (biotopes) are being specifically enhanced.
"Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Kenya": The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy (LWC) is a non-profit organization who are dedicating themselves especially
to the protection of rhinos and Grévy zebras. Founded on April 1, 1993 and registered as an official
national park by the Kenyan government in 1995, the LWC has become a significant organization for the
conservation of nature.
We also help to spread animal protection news and to sensitize children, to convince the authorities and research establishments, to motivate them to good deeds, to improve the ethical standard and the legislation, but also to put people who are cruel to animals in their place or to assist organizations and single persons home and abroad in their endeavour to realize their projects and to reach their goals.
The Zurich Animal Protections Society are very grateful for your support and invite you to become a member.
